My D4 has shrunk - into an Evoque
My D4 is in the dealers, and I've got an SD4 Evoque as the courtesy car - first one I've been in, and actually much nicer than I expected. Nice big sunroof, comfy seats, usual toys to play with, nicely trimmed and finished, and goes well. Can see why they are selling like hot cakes.

Try and get in the back Al....that'll change your opinion
Other than that, yes I agree, they are much nicer than the cynics, and I am one, would have you believe
As to whether it should have the "Range Rover" badge on it,that's another question entirely... "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

Euan
yep, only been in the rivers seat, but with the full glass roof, it does given the impression of being very open and airy.
and yes - RR branding doe seem to be a bit off, but you cant deny its working for LR in the sale figures.

Was it diesel? I had a loaner and found the lag dangerous at times.“There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Have heard that before, on the models with the 8 speed autobox.
Why the gearbox doesn't change down to first when you come to a standstill, is beyond me. Same with the 8 speed D4 My D3 Build Thread

A friend of my brothers got rid of his Evoque for that very reason....said it was borderline dangerous....apparently he nearly got T-boned twice at junctions until he decided enough was enough"Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

My main complaint with the wifes Evoque is that she does double the amount of miles that she used to do in her Sport, she loves the car! every opportunity to get into it is taken.
Its a thirsty little beast and I find it a bit noisey around the rear wheel arches, but it handles like its on skates and is a fun drive.
Incidently I've never experienced any lag in it.There are 10 types of people in this world ~ those that understand binary and those that don't.

Had the sd dynamic today, Whilst mine in garage.
Liked the seats, glass roof, little secret cubby hole in transmission tunnel and the interior "touch" lights. (Looked same size as D4 lights)only 6 speed but very responsive
Quite a lot of road noise on some surfaces especially from rear.
Really needed rear camera as rear window view crap.
Plastic on steering wheel switches felt cheap and nasty.
Had to use key fob to open lock doors but had start button when inside just seemed half cocked.
Had to have seat set low as lack of headroom, with small windows set high felt like a chad trying to peer out. surprising how it differs to the freelancer you seem a lot lower down in the evouque.D4 Landmark MY16 Santorini Black THE LAST

that have crept in to the D4 - like door handles inside...chromed plastic on a 50 to 60 k vehicle isn't on

I never noticed any lag on the loaner I had yesterday. Nice little tool for around town blasting.
