D4 - spurious "suspension fault" warning
Hi there,
On my recently bought 2011 D4 ES SDV6, I am getting spurious "suspension fault" warning on the display. Sometimes it happens after a few miles, sometimes after 50, for example yesterday I drove the 40 miles to my brother's place and it appeared just a few minutes before his house. On the return journey home it never appeared at all. Once I stop and then restart it disappears and it is always random when/if it appears again.
Any thoughts appreciated.

Get codes read.
My D3 had much the same as yours, and after reading a post by profsr I stuck some new dessicant and filters in the compressor, and it has been fine for 4 months now.

You need the error codes read, without that it impossible to say, but more than likely it will be error code C1A13-64 (AF) Pressure does not decrease when venting gallery - Algorithm based failure - signal plausibility failure
As lynalldiscovery said the first thing to do is replace the pump filters and dessicant as if they are blocked then the pump can't exhaust the air.
Happy to help further once you have the codes. David

D4 suspension
Thanks.
Will get the Hawkeye on it tomorrow. Do you know the proper name, and from where I can get the filter/dessicant for the compressor. Normally I use JGS 4 x 4 when I had the D2.

Thanks, will get the Hawkeye on it tomorrow and in the meantime I will look for the spare filter/dessicant.

I would recommend 4x4airseals, the owner is really nice and happy to talk through what you might need and has videos of what to do.

Hi,
Thanks for the tip. Sent them a message and waiting for them to come back to me. Just checked the DTC's with the Hawkeye and it came up as C1 A13, which I believe is what all you guys were pointing to.
Will get the filter and the dessicant changed and take it from there. Thanks again.

Hi everyone,
Is there an easy way to identify what type of compressor is fitted to my D4 without having to lie underneath, remove the covers and look for some kind of (9 year old, dirt covered) label.
4 x 4 seals is asking what type of compressor is fitted and, having only had it for just over two weeks, I have no clue as yet.
