Does D4 stll have the Glowplug failure like D3?

Hi all

I am starting to look around for a 2014 - 2015 D4 as my 175K miles D3 is starting to get long in the tooth and will not start when its cold as none of the glow plugs work anymore and getting them replaced, drilled out etc will cost as much as the D3 is worth.
I have just fitted a remote FBH unit which seems to help, but just wanting to find out if the D4 has the same glow plug affliction of snapping when they need changing?

I am probably going to look for a D4 which has the timed climate, which I appreciate should mitigate the need to replace the plugs but just wondering if anyone has had any experience of glow plug issues on the D4.

Thanks in advance for any replies

Bruv just changed all the glow plugs on my old D3 that has nearly 200 000 miles on the clock and he only had one that was difficult to get out and was charged £390

I'm sure I saw a post from Disco_Mikey the other day saying he's never had difficulty getting D4 glowplugs out.

They probably don’t fail on D4s Whistle
 It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

I think DM was saying he’s never had a problem getting a glow plug out of a Euro 4 engine.

Thanks for the above, £390 is very good value but I just have a feeling that mine will be a proper pain to get out, everything else on the car has been! I don;t particularly want to get rid of the D3 as I still really like it but SWMBO is increasingly dropping not so subtle hints about changing the D3 as "It costs a lot to keep that car going". She doesn't seem to realise that a Disco is a heart over head purchase.
