Just had ghost fitted to my 2011 D4 - its brilliant, hands down absolutely spot on. I think there is one person on the internet whom it didnt work for - by all accounts the installer didnt know what he was doing.... - no matter how many times i try and beat it - it never starts when the code isnt entered... Worth every penny.
Also, dont worry about the App - even though im on apple i dont use it at all... Think of it this way... Thieves break into ur house, take ur keys (or just boost it) - soon as the locks open the car wakes up - connects to your App via bluetooth (presuming your house/bedroom is close not too far from the car) and they can drive away...
Its really very easy to put the code in every time you start your car...2011 Discovery 4 HSE

Thanks for setting the record straight Danbrier. It is true what you say about the phone app. If using the app, you would need to turn Bluetooth off on your phone every time you stop the car which would a complete pain for me.
I had booked my D4 to have the Ghost installed next week, then I saw this thread and started to have second thoughts because of that YouTube video.
From your experience I feel resssured now. Will post here with my first hand experience in a couple of weeks time.
