I know the D4 has the same issues as the D3 with the sunroof drains blocking up, but do both the sunroof drains on the D4 drain into the wing vents?
On the D3 the (UK) passenger side is obviously far harder to sort because of access behind the fusebox, where as the drivers side is easy because you just pop the wing vent out.
The first thing I'll do to my new (to me) D4 will be to clear them out, and I'm hoping it will just be a case of popping both wing vents off.
Thanks

Hi Nasher. Yes that’s how I did mine. Thought I was going to break the vents - damn tight. On the os just have to move the boot for the air intake. Mine seemed to drain into a cutout into the chassis onto a sponge in a bag no idea if that’s right but can’t see any other path for the water if you flush out the hot soapy water and it all comes out the bottom I’d be tempted to leave the vents alone. I plan to do it every couple of months. D4 HSE Luxury

Thanks Pope227
I used to service the ones on my D3 every 6 months to keep them clear, it's obviously going to be easier on the D4 without worrying about the fusebox or going in behind the wheelarch liner.

I know that pain. Had the CJB and wheel arch liner out and still lost most of the skin on the back of my hands. Still have to remove all this on D4 if it needs changing but hopefully they are better designed so won’t need it. I’m always worried about damaging the elbow when clearing them. D4 HSE Luxury
