Hi chaps ,
tonight i drove the disco to the shops , when i got back in and pushed the start button all the ignition lights came on but the engine wouldnt turn over and start , i repeatedly tried for 10 mins before giving up and calling the AA , then all of a sudden while on the phone i pushed the button again and it fired to life and has been fine since ,,

I did try pushing the pedal harder but i dont think its that , as you get a msg on screen saying "push brake pedal"
if its not acknowledging,

Did the brake pedal feel different?

It's just I had a visit from the AA when mine wouldn't start and although I was pressing the pedal, due to a brake servo pressure issue the car wasn't picking this up and wasn't showing a message to press the pedal.

When you pressed the starter button, did the car try to start, or did all the lights just go off? That's what mine did.

For mine it seems there was an update the dealer can do and following that the brakes on mine feel a bit better.

It was only thanks to the AA man pressing very hard on the brake pedal mine started fine.

It seems as though it is a known problem, as it's happened to a couple of others on here, but a few years ago.

Apologies, I would try searching to see what I can find, but I have dreadful mobile reception at work.

After the dealer carried out the update, it really seemed to improve the performance of my brakes as until then I thought they were awful.
