So I've had the D4 for around 6 weeks now. With the D3 I could back it almost blindfolded down our lane & onto the drive with inch perfect precision.
Bring on the D4, can I replicate the same performance of reversing, no?! Now I would presume that the D3 & D4 are basically the same car & therefore i'd be able to reverse them the same.
Are there any differences? Is the steering rack ration different for example? I can't get to the bottom of whats going on other than the D4 is white not grey & three times the price the D3 was!

It's a different rack on the D4 alright but I don't think there's much in it between them. I have never noticed any difference when reversing them down the yard into the workshop ramp for example.
Haven't hit anything either.....yet Could it be different tyres/wheel sizes or perhaps the different mirrors?yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

Yeah it could be something to do with 20" rims & different tyres I suppose. Also the mirror could play a part.
I just wish I could get to grips with it. I look like a proper K b trying to reverse home at the moment lol

I think it's got to be the mirrors Nick, you'll get used to it in time. Just as well you're not having to to a driving test then yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

You’ve already answered your own question - it’s 3 times the price!
This will be messing with your mind when you try and reverse it, especially into familiar places 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2
2015 - 2017: 2 x D4

I’d forgotten about it, but now I remember the notable difference between the D3 and D4 mirrors and how I struggled at first reversing down the lane to my house.
