Where do you get them ?

S

Normally do a search for BOSCH Aerotwin and pick the cheapest, but the last couple of time these guys were the cheapest:

Worth googling for their latest discount code - there was a thread on here about that, but I seem to recall the code has now expired.
LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

Will be really interesting to see if replacing the driver's side arm cures the thunk at the end of the sweep. I've tried about 6 different types of blades in 2 years including the Bosch aerotwin and most of the others recommended and none cured the thunk.

Found the cause of the knock, the end of the wiper arm nearest the blade had actually twisted over time, it wasn't the pivot or the spring Rolling Eyes , new arm fitted for £9.99, job done Thumbs Up

And the thunk at the top of every sweep is gone with it? If so I'm off to get a new arm ASAP Thumbs Up

So far so good, the old one was really quite twisted when compared to the new.

The alignment was causing the blade to lean more to one side hence on the return it was causing it to 'thunk'

Thumbs Up

New arm arrived today, as previously mentioned it was £9.99 inc p/p

It arrived today, 'signed for' service at a cost of £5.50 ..... surely the dealer has lost big time Shocked

I can only imagine they have 1000's of the things in a box out back and are just trying to clear them out?

..... anyhow with the new wipers & an arm if the noise isn't gone then I think I'll lose the plot, watch this space.

I think this is your answer on how many they have lying around.

I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Have just changed the arm, it' wasn't until I got it off I noticed how twisted it was Shocked

As I've put new blades on AND changed the arm I can't tell which one fixed the problem but it's definitely fixed Thumbs Up

Fitted the new arm yesterday. After two years of thunk thunk at the top of every sweep, countless new sets of wiper blades, including most of the ones recommended by other forum members, I can confirm that the noise is gone.

Probably the best value £9.99 I've spent on the car since I've owned it - thanks for posting the solution and the marvellous value of the wiper arm at that price.

Now I have an amazing selection of part used wiper blades that I've collected in my quest to get rid of the wretched thunk Rolling Eyes

Such a simple and fairly cheap fix Thumbs Up

Now you can move on and listen for the next knock, click, thud, squeek or clunk Laughing

Cheers just put a new wiper arm on the drivers side and the "clunk" has gone its magic! Just need to put a 22 on instead of the 21 it's got!
