Morning all I got into my car this morning turned on and got a steering lock message and car doesn’t start 😢 called out Landrover assist car to be recovered, thankfully I extended the warranty, but that’s today’s plans, as anyone else had this issue?

What year is it? The later D4s seem to have earth strap failure at a higher rate..
If you have jump leads you can check for this.
Link the battery -ve with an exposed bracket on the engine.
Does it start then?
Earth strap failure if so...

Thank you for the replies was going to try the jump leads but the heavens have opened so log burner lighted, I’ll let them collect it repair it and bring it back I will stay in the warm

Well the AA turned up today first truck the bed wouldn’t go down second truck driver said it needed picking up onto recovery truck so still on my drive, on a good note they have hired me a new XC90 had a drive what a nice car something to think about in a year or so still love the D4 though and she as been reliable six years I have owned her
