As a relatively new D4 owner I have been thinking about gearing up for future maintenance activities (quite like putting my hand to simple maintenance activities). I bought the D3 Haynes manual which seems OK but kept thinking that it would be nice to have specific D4 info (engine/gearbox etc).
Tried to search this forum for recommendations but couldn't find exactly what I was looking for...

Only £4 so took a punt but did't expect that much.
Well the CD arrived this morning and has totally surpassed my expectations 
This thing has about 7500 pages of technical manual with coloured illustrations and step by step descriptions for disassembly / assembly removal etc of just about everything in the car including all torque settings! It must be the type of manual that the main dealers have access to. Covers all D4 variants 2.7 and 3.0 diesels as well as V8 petrol engines. Every conceivable fault code is detailed and also about 1000 pages of electrical wiring diagrams. Also all electrical, bodywork, trim, fuel systems etc etc - EVERYTHING!
It has a publishing date of May 2011 so doesn't cover the 8 speed gearbox but pretty sure it is relevant to all D4's and probably most items on a D3 too.
Excuse my excitement with my £4 purchase. Maybe most of you have this type of info already or at least access to it but if not I would definitely recommend it. (Ps. I have no links with the seller!!)
I use a Mac and when I open the file the whole thing is one massive pdf document. I don't seem to be able to 'search' within it and whilst there are hyperlinks embedded they don't seem to be active. I guess these might only work on a dealership type system (or perhaps just need a Windows PC). But the document has an index so it's quite easy to find what you are looking for - perfectly useable.
I managed to lose 2 hrs easily today just scrolling through the first 4000 pages - good bedtime reading....
