I talked about finance to the Wife. I explained that it would be far better to make a 10k pension contribution and borrow 10k with a low APR. 10k over 12months works out at around £155 in interest.
GFV and VT = Not worried.

Hmmm now sold. Tried to buy this today but just missed out. Looked at the Namib Orange one as well but this one had a great spec in comparsion.
Both dealers are not signed up to the LR deposit contribution scheme on the basis that the 10.9% rate was unfair to customers and that they could offer 8.9% (wow) instead. (I just wanted the contribution! ). Told me that the £1500 contribution is split 50/50 between LR and the garage
Ho Hum. Looks like the bank accounts will stay healthy in 2021.

I took the LR finance to get the ‘discount’ and was totally upfront with the fact that I would be cancelling it after one month. Which I did and got a proper rate instead. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

I was straight with them about the contribution, because they kept pushing "..... we're looking after our customer' s best interest by offering 8.9% so its far better for you in the long term."
I've emailled Jessica about the reappearance of the car and it will be curious how she answers it.
Either way the conclusion is that I need to drive the D5 before committing to buy.

Car rejected by last customer due to alloy wheel corrosion on the inside of the rims. Offered to fix but vehicle rejected........hmmmmmm.
