Take your car to your nearest battery centre and have the battery tested to see if it's able to hold a charge. It's not uncommon for a Discovery to kill a battery in two years (regardless of how often you charge it) - and if yours is on its way out, you may want to replace it before you're really in trouble.
Hopefully this might be the issue! Will keep posting regarding feedback from the garage. 2016 Discovery 4 Commercial

Just looked on Topix and found bulletin SSM56157 - BCM related vehicle non start (10MY) - does that refer to Battery Control Module I wonder?
Anyone got this SSM handy? 2016 Discovery 4 Commercial

Had a similar problem with mine
3 failed starts and LR Assist call outs, full day in the dealer to have all the system checked and a new battery.
Next day same again, turned out to be one of the door handles ( they have sensors for keyless entry).
New handle fitted and since then not a single battery low message even using the remote park heater.
I questioned the central locking system with the tech guy who came out to see what I was talking about and when we opened the fuel cap and tried to lock the car with an open cap the car when haywire , unlocking itself locking itself the staying locked, the thing had a mind of its own, I got the car back a week later . 2007 RS4 Avant

BCM is Body Control Module - eg keyless start etc

Update from dealer: new battery definitely required, and he is looking into whether the BCM is causing the battery drain which they have identified....

I had exactly the same issues 3 or 4 times before Christmas each time called out LR assist, and each time battery showed up fine. its not done it since but i'll mention it to the dealer as its due for the first service soon, but i'll not hold my breath that they will cure it ready for next winter. LR man also told me that this car needs 2 batteries. On a mission to find the perfect Pork Pie. Just Found it (I think)..(Yes I have)

Today's update: a new battery appears to have mysteriously got rid of whatever was causing the battery drain.......
Hoping to pick the car up this afternoon. 2016 Discovery 4 Commercial

I dont usually follow D4 stuff but is it just my impression that there are a lot of battery issues with 10MYs? These are going to fun out of warranty.

Happy to report that all seems fine now with my D4 and it's new battery. Noticed the new battery is a VARTA model with JLR stickers on it.... 2016 Discovery 4 Commercial

My D4 is a September 2009 build. Had to have the battery replaced at 80,000 Klm's.
According to my dealer, it is common for a D4.
Cheers, Craig

Just posted on another thread, sorry for duplication...
mine is 2 yr old and just came up with low battery warning for the first time. Looks like I should expect to replace the battery before next winter - is that what everyone is saying? Seems amazing, never got less than 5 years from any other car I have owned. d4 HSE
