Dampers/Bush/Weights behind the bumper

Hi,

I don't know what these are called and struggling to search for results - they are weights that pivot in front of the exhaust. Not sure what they are for but mine don't need a lot of hand pressure to swing and hit something metal and they easily hit the rear bumper.

I think these are what I am hearing clonk about when I drive down bumpy country roads at 20-30mph. What is the deal with these and is there meant to be a decent level of resistenance to stop them swinging about?

Cheers
Matt

Yeah, I got this some time ago now, they start clonking on something. The left hand one if I recall correctly. I just lay down at the back of the car and adjusted the big rubber wossname a bit away from what they were banging on and back to where it should have been and it was problem solved. Hasn't happened since.

Is that the right link - that seems to be bringing up info on tow bars and wheel weights. Were you linking me to a guide on how to adjust them - that would be helpful as if that is possible that could solve the issue.

I've since found they are called Harmonic Dampers so will search term too.
