dash lights

can any 1 help my dash lights keep going out when i turn it on to auto lights plus console lights to any ideas ? pluse have no heat only from 1 vent then it gos cold if you use the fan too long

Could be a relay in the cjb (you can’t change)
Fuse or headlight switch.
I’ll find a fuse number out for you later.

I assume your headlights are on in auto ?
Tail lights could be off ?

spot on just looked and yes it had gone replaced with new 5A fuse and all works thank you , i did put a new switch in to but did the same till i changed the fuse lol , all i got to do now is to get the heater working lol

ok changed to fuse as told i did and it worked fine for 3 days now dash light all out again looked a fuse (67) all ok , and more ideas what it can be

Check for power at the switch when it’s dark. I’ll try and look up the wire colour
Or fit old switch.

ok refit old switch still not working , then looked ar fuse 39 pulled and replace but looked ok pulled 28 looked ok but replced , now got dash lights when on auto but not on standerd or side lights very odd lol

Red/orange wire was the one I was thinking of checking Nat the switch when dark.

Are your parking lights working ok ?
If no, it will be a fuse under the bonnet. 10A maybe


EDIT: Fuse 25 under bonnet

ok fuse had gone replaced it dash lights work but no park lights lol but not bothered about them lol thank you for your help

I suspect there is an intermittent short with dash lights. The red wire that runs everywhere.
Rather surprised it doesn’t blow the dimmer module FET in switch.
Whatever mode (on or auto) it is in, will blow a different fuse

It may fail mot like that.

Maybe fit an inline 2A fuse (or inline 21w bulb does the same but resets itself) at the switch, in the wire for the dash lights. To help diagnostic and try and keep external lights working
