Dash lights on start up
Hi everyone! Looking for some assistance if possible.
So my Jeep died last week and on Friday I bought an 05
Discovery 3. I've had 3 older Disco's in the past.
After it was delivered I sat in it started it up and the airbag warning light is in constantly. I also note a gap in the lights on the left hand dial.
Should I have an engine light illuminate on start up? I cant see one and now wonder if it should be where the gap us?
Will try and add a picture I've taken. What is the missing image in the rev counter?
Thanks all!

Hi Lisa and welcome.
The red oil light should illuminate along with everything else when the key is turned to the ign on position. Some lights will extinguish as the car perform it's checks, once you start the car all lights should extinguish immediately.
If you have warning lights not operating, (particularly oil light) take it back to them.yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

Thanks. The oil does come on, then go out as it should.
These are the lights that come on when starting up. Are the gaps missing ones?

Nope, you're all good so long as everything goes out on start up except the hand brake. That will go when you release it. yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

You're fine no worries, the Mod's will move it to correct forum when they spot it.
Edit: I forgot to mention the"gap" is where the glow light will show! This will only illuminate when the engine is cold!
Enjoy the car, and best of luck with it! yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ
