I use Asda or Tesco fuel.
She starts first time, pretty much every time. She gets up to temp within 2 miles too, I don’t do lots of short runs with lots of starts either.

The revving was just to highlight the effect more, I don’t normally do that.

The air filter has a few hundred miles on it since new.

Will be looking at the inter cooler as suggested too sometime soon.

[I took the radiator out the other day and found this, so I’d say that I’ve got an oil getting into the turbo problem to fix

Check the injector offset values to rule them out

Blue smoke is oil. Most common issue in cars is the turbo seals or valve stem seals in head.
Probably the later though not a common d3 issue.

I wouldn’t rush down the glow plug route unless it won’t start under 0C as it could be very costly if they snap in removal.[/quote]

Some oil presence in the intercooler is normal, it's a question of how much? If you undo the elbow on the passenger side of the intercooler you should see a very small drip, much more than that would indicate turbo seal wear but often it can be lived with unless the oil level is dropping unacceptably.

Did you investigate the injector/exh smoke as this looks to be a more prominent issue?

This sort of is part of the investigation of the smoke. I don’t want to start pulling injectors or glow plugs out unless I really have too as I know they’re prone to being a real pain in the hoop to do 🤮.
Just replaced the parking brake module, some brake lines and put two new side steps on.
