based on the fact this suddenly flashed up after the ABS kicked in...would this be a wheel speed sensor/abs sensor issue??

When I had a faulty speed sensor, I was able to read the live data using the IID diagnostic and very quickly identified the problem

I don't have the IID tool (yet!!)
if there was an issue would it still show the speed on the dash?
and would this kick up the lights on the dash

Last time I had 4 lights on the dash, suspension lowered but motor still drove normally.
Pulled in, plugged in the IID and fault was showing as faulty speed sensor.
Changed to live values and drove off, confirmed which sensor fault.
Replaced the sensor, cleared the fault and lights all off.
The speedo still showed the vehicle speed as a different system.
