DASHBOARD LIGHTS!!!!!!

My dashboard has been better than the christmas tree lights coming on in all directions but mainly an amber brake light but the pads have over 75 % left, could it be ABS or fluid level (as has just been serviced I find this hard to believe?). Confused

Is it the EPB amber light, with a P in it?

Hi, this is my first post on the forum, I have just picked up my Discovery 3 on a 55reg and as i was driving out of the garage the EPB amber light came on and stayed on. I pulled over and turned the engine off, restarted it again and the amber light went off, then again as i drove about 50 yards down the road the amber light came and stayed on untill i stop the engine. Anyone any ideas what the problem might be? The handbrake is working fine and the car seems to be running fine but the light on the dash as got me concerned. This Disco is a manual.

Ps i did take it back to the garage and they have told me they will sort it out for me, but i would like to know if anyone else as had the same problem and if its easy to sort, cheers.

Welcome, they will strip the EPB, clean and adjust. Not a biggy - unless you end up paying Thumbs Up

Cheers 90BHP, thankfully the car as come with 3 months warranty. Hopefully this will be the only thing to deal with and it wont lead to other problems. Thumbs Up

EXT means External Temperature. When it disappears, it gets replaced by a frost symbol, at temps 4 or less.

If your warning lamp comes on again, then you will need a new gear position sensor.

I notice you are in the North West, why not come and join in with the North West pub meet, on Monday evening. At the Romper near Manchester Airport.

Thread is here http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic29319.html

Thanks again Gareth, if the light comes on again i will take it to the garage and tell them it will probably need a new gear position sensor. Loving this site at the moment, is there anything you can't find out about the Disco 3? Laughing

Ye i am in the north west and about 25-30 mins from the romper pub in manchester so i might bob down there one monday, what goes on in these meets?

Dont know yet Laughing It the first meet at this new venue. We used to go to The Little Mill at Rowarth, but it was too far out for most people.

We generally just have a couple of drinks and a meal, along with a good old chat. No agenda, just an informal meetup and an opportunity to fill a car park with D3's.
