Not a good day. EPB has been screeching so have not been using it as parts are on order(arrived later today) . Did change out parking brake shoes last week so decided to attempt the bedding in procedure, did not go well. Managed to enter the program mode and began with the slow speed and apply the parking brake. The rear wheels locked immediately so my adjustments were good, tried again after a period to allow cooling. The wear pad indicator illuminated, the parking brake indication is flashing and the brake will not function from the cabin control.
Additionally the message centre stopped working, fuel indication went to zero, low level was indicating and I has just filled the tank. The message centre characters came back very dim with no rev counter, speedometer, engine temperature or indicators. Went to visit a friend 20miles away, everything was working. On my return through B roads with bends etc it was playing up. On the motorway all was working until I returned home. Any suggestions folks?
