Surely the time will come when some aftermarket company (Britpart - ?)will produce a new (even galvanised) chassis and at a reasonable cost, just as they’ve done for the LR Series > Defenders.

I’d definitely be repairing that, you’ve partially stripped it to (need to remove some inner trim/wiring/carpets?). Got to be looking at £15k for anything LEZ compliant, if that’s relevant to you, and will never be as good/practical once this is sorted?

Keep it! You won't regret it.
I spent 30k NOK, approx £3k on welding on my sills when I bought the D3. The Britpart sills are ok.
