George, great to see your D3 back on the lanes. Did you manage to stay under the miles limit before renewing the warranty?
The weather looks a lot better than when we were there last time.
The D3's get up the steps nicely. doesn't look like they have to work at all.
Cheers

Bernd,
I'm surprised you recognize the lane without the white stuff. Did the route but started from the North was a grand day out.
D3 now sorted with Warranty Direct just a good a deal as last year, if not better
I think I was the only one working running back and forth. Spent the day (or the best part of it) in the passenger seat with Mrs GSLRO driving (see the 2nd pic in Simons17 post), she did really well so did the Mrs err i mean D3. The only part she refused to drive was Yoadwath Ford, even with the RAI fitted (used plenty of silicone).
Thinking of a weekender late spring / early summer taking in 3 days, starting over in the Lakes and finishing in North Yorkshire Moors with Yorkshire Dales in the middle. Might you be up for a bit of camping under canvas

That is how I know you. especially from the first trip when you had to climb all the way back up the hill to rescue Chris

I have a similar trip coming up at the end of April. We are doing coast to coast, east to west in 4 laning and two travel days. A friend of mine arranged it. I checked with him already a while ago to see whether there was a place left for one more D3 as I thought you might want to join but unfortunately all spots were taken up to the GLASS limit. There is a chance I might have a passenger seat left for you. Contrary to your own passenger seat, in an LHD car you might still feel as if you were in charge.
I chickened out on the canvas thing though. Although most in the party will spend their nights under a thin layer of cloth, I am going the warm and comfy B&B route.
In last month's LRO there was an item on Northumberland lanes. Do you fancy doing that? I am afraid though I will not be granted another overseas greenlaning permit by SWMBO before summer's end.

Precision pressure cut
I will give the weekend tour some serious consideration, have some nice routes but don't want to make it too long of a day in the saddle. Will try and consider a central camp site for a couple of nights to do the lanes in the Lakes and around Alston on day 1, and then around Yorkshire Dales day 2 de-camp day 3 and head over to North Yorkshire Moors. Got me thinking now.
Bernd, I hope to do the route from the LROi Magazine next month, checking the access of some other lanes in the area. I will email the route I have linking them together if you still have access to trail wise. Let me know how your coast to coast goes, are you taking the D3? Some tight gates over on the West! Let me know when you are going you never know I may get a pass out Club N.E.R.D.s
