De tango headlights
Has anyone used a gas oven to bake headlights? Bit concerned about the open flame and the fact gas mark 1 is 140c 😳

Another option is to put it in a
Large cardboard box with a hole in the bottom/side where you insert a hair dryer.

I used a decorators heat gun, means you can target the sealant but also keep it soft while you split them..hard to work in the light while it’s in the oven 2008 HSE Stornoway Grey

Deffinately worth doing, difference it makes to the front of the car
One thing you may wish to look at while you have them apart is this
Didn’t know about them when I did mine but don’t want to pull the lights apart again quite yet to fit2008 HSE Stornoway Grey

I really like it! definitely illegal in Switzerland though. On a point of note, I recently had my car's (de-tango'd) headlights replaced under a decade-old recall. I notice the orange flash of the indicators on road signs etc much more with the lens in place. I won't be de-tangoing them again.

I have a 2006 car with springs. It was in the vin range for cars which left the factory with the halogen headlights suitable only for cars with air bags in error. The recall changes the light units and switch so that the beam can be manually levelled.
I was getting flashed by oncoming cars which prompted research into headlight adjustment and revealed this issue. On a separate but related matter, one rear spring subsequently came out in two pieces when I changed them both ahead of Swiss MOT.... which would explain the flashing!
