can we consider this, there seems to be comments and hijacked post which hide the original intention of the post (taken from another site I use):-
Some of the "For Sale and wanted" threads have become an extension of the main forum. This forum is intended for people selling stuff and asking for things. It wasn't intended to debate the relative merits of a particular car, accuse someone of single-handedly decimating the residual value of any car ever built, being rude about someone who dares to ask top book for their car or just posting rubbish.
Any post by anyone but the original poster that is not directly related buying or selling the item will be deleted. If you think it's a nice car then drop the seller a PM and complement them on their fine car care techniques. If the seller has missed out a price, pictures or any other important bit of information then a PM pointing that out would be a public spirited thing to do. If you think the seller is asking too much or too little then be quiet because that is no one else's business but the seller. If there really is something worth discussing then start a thread in the main forum.
If you think an advert is dodgy then PM a mod and they will deal with it.

Some valid points Dave, though if you feel a for sale or wanted post has become 'cluttered' just click the triangle and one of us mods will clear it up if we agree.

I don't think we generally have a problem with this.
OK we do get a few people doing a virtual sucking in through their teeth whenever someone mentions a price, but that's human nature - especially from those originating from somewhere that rhymes with Zorkshire 
As long as it's not aggressive or entirely inappropriate (when the triangle should be used) then overall these comments are usually discussed appropriately - or ignored 
In some cases a discussion is appropriate - and good points are made. If people really don't want any discussion following their ad they can state that, and report posts. Any over-the-top off topic discussions can be tidied up when necessary if reported. It'd be nice, and in the spirit of the site, not to have to apply lots more rules as to what you can or can't do in a thread 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti
Any issues with the site let me know!

My O is that we don't have a major problem.... rather more annoyances TBH like not following the For Sale & Wanted rules when posting...and by far the worst, the extremely pointless exercise of saying "you have a PM"  21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
