Just had a call back from LandRover Customer Relations. They said that they can't find out what is going on as the factory is closed along with the office that deals with the orders. Do we have a Valleyforge Option 2 on our hands?
I've been promised another call on Monday. I'll let you know. Dr. Ian Malcolm:
"Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should."
Transgenic tomato anyone?

A mate of mine works at Halewood and they are the best inspected and prepared LR's ever. They are going through final inspection in the factory and are then undergoing a second final inspection to make sure they are right.
Hope you enjoy it.

Any chance they pulled people from the D3 QA team to do the second FL2 inspection? Dr. Ian Malcolm:

Try Mike Mullholland, in the past I got nowhere with the staff - he's LR Customer Relations Manager [or something like that]. I was having a problem getting a replacement transfer box, issue was ongoing for weeks. even Dealer got nowhere - he sorted it out there & then [also sent me a nice wooden boxed hamper of goodies for my troubles - but I told him I wouldn't tell antbody].
Don't know if it'll be any good, but you can always try.

I've finally received a repsonse from LR.
Quote : "They are really busy and are struggling to get the cars out before Christmas."
Why don't I feel convinced? Three working days to find that out? Dr. Ian Malcolm:

IMO I think they are pulling your chain mate. They have yet to tell me why my car had a 2nd 7 week delay. But hey least you got an excuse.
My HSE07 was due out the factory today, so will be checking in with the dealer in the morning to ensure it is still on track . Stornoway HSE MY07 with Body Colour side mouldings.

FYI I have tried to email Mike Mullholland today but his email address fails.
Called LRCR and they are off doing some checking and will come back to me later.

Finally!
Just received a call to say that the 'restriction has been lifted on my car' and my D3 has arrived at the dealers! 8) Well that was a bolt out of the blue to say the least. Colt and any others in this predicament, I hope you have the same good luck before New Year, I'll be thinking of you.
BTW, the dealer STILL doesn't know why they're holding back the cars from delivery and still has other cars being held back. Wierd. Dr. Ian Malcolm:
"Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should."
