took it out on its first family trip on Saturday.... 5 adults and some luggage for a 2 hour drive up to York and back home on Sunday. Very Happy

folded the centre seat down and used one of the jump seats in the back. plenty of room for all even my daughters boyfriend who is a broad 6 footer was comfy in the jump seat and more than happy with his own personal phone charging point as he is always glued to games on it.

absolutely loved driving it, smooth, comfy, sure footed and never missed a beat...... but i need to have my right foot transplanted for a lighter version Whistle Laughing

Swapped out some faulty parts from my rear end. The belts look to have been chewed by a pervious owner's dog, so swapped out both as it's MoT time next month. Also the N/S lower tailgate stay was damaged, so swapped out both at the same time. Is it possible to replace the cables, as this looks relatively simple to do? Otherwise I'll just bin the knackered one.

Regards,
Steve

Fitted new rear brake discs, pads and painted callipers silver to make them look newer. I then took her for a 230 mile round trip to get here some new tyres. They'll be getting fitted in the morning😄

Over the last few weeks I have :-

moved a fridge freezer to my daughters new house
moved a king size bed and mattress to the same above in a single run
collected two very large sofas for a mate who was amazed at the van like boot space
transported various family members and multiple dogs, with and without luggage in total comfort
let my brother drive it so he now wants one as he misses his old 90 and 110 from a few years back(he joins my son in his LR aspirations)
normal daily commutes
lots of muddy country lanes
upgraded the headlight bulbs for Osrams and LED sidelights

I have to say the D4 truly is a great all rounder Thumbs Up

Following an intermittent failure to release the top tailgate, replaced both the switch in the tailgate handle and the actuator in the bottom tailgate before it failed completely. Now seems ok mechanically and electrically, but as usual I bust some trim clips so am waiting for the postman to bring replacements so that I can finish the job.

Oh, and ran my FBH for the first time using the Altox app and my new Altox from Bodsy.

Needed to get rear brake pads changed and rear n/s EPB caliper had seized.

Took it to Woodside Garage in Maulden (been recommended by a few members on here) and they did a very good job.

Brake pads renewed and EPB now working properly Thumbs Up and as always with these great cars, drove away with a lighter wallet Big Cry
