Mine passed it's MOT this week with the only comment(advisory?) being that the underside was lightly corroded. However, before it went in for MOT it had 2 new front lower control arms, new ARB drop links front and rear, replaced all brake calipers and pads and replaced flexible brake pipes for stainless steel. It's V8 2005 model imported from Australia with 258,000 KM's on the clock.
Need to replace upper dash top as the existing one is very cracked due to Queensland sun.

Fitted a dog guard boot space divider so Barney & Rooney can travel together but separate Thumbs Up
Now thinking of how to modify the Xanadoo basket so that can be used as well. Thinking of cutting it in half put angle on either side of the center divider so it still can be slide backwards and forwards Idea
Open to suggestion what might be better Question

Not sell it to me ones before anyone ask Whistle

plus a little trip to A&E after been attacked by the bumper

2" cut after tripped and stood on the bumper, which flipped up and did the deed

ouch! Hopefully didn't damage the bumper! Very Happy (seriously though hope the head is ok!)

What was the paint process as something I need to clean up on mine... scrape off the surface rust with a brush... paint with the red stuff (rust inhibitor?) and them coat with black (assume it's a generic paint?)

Thanks!

Used a wire brush thing on my angle grinder and a dremel for the hard to reach area's,
Cleaned off the loose rust and bits off,
Used red oxide primer two coats
Then sprayed satin black.

Hopefully will slow the rusting process

And thanks I'm ok now, got glued in A&E

Looks good, what did you use to get it so clean?

Thanks Thumbs Up Firstly I took all the bits out and didn’t clean anything in situ, so I removed the air intake/air filter box, fan cover, battery cover and the spare battery box cover. Once the items were out the sequence was jet wash, spray with autobrite citrus cleaner (diluted to about 20/1) and agitate with sponge, jet wash off, dry, then 303 aerospace protectant and then micro fibre off.

Rear air valve block. PITA. Thanks for Gary's tip with the push-fit fittings. An hour to get off. 5mins to put back on.

I've always tried to clean under the bonnet with all the covers in situ. Never thought to take them off and give a good blast with the pressure washer.

Took a stop off at Royal steering wheels in Aylesbury for a re-trim. Very happy with the results and the good service - the old shiny, melted leather look Is no more Thumbs Up
