Direct photo upload feature
The eagle eyed amongst you may have noticed the new buttons below the message area when you start a new topic or a reply.
Update: 12th August. The "Choose/Take Photo" button will now only appear for mobile devices and the Upload icon is different (a blue arrow)
Button functions:
"Choose Photos" to select one or more photos.
"Choose/Take Photo" to select a single photo, with the option on iOS to switch to the camera.
"Clear" will deselect any photos you have chosen (only enabled once photos selected for upload).
"Upload" will start the upload process (enabled as above).
Once the upload procedure completes, you will get a row of thumbnails under the message area.
Simply click/tap an image to insert the BBCode for that image at the current location in the message area. Images will be slightly greyed out once clicked to indicate which ones you have used.
The two small buttons on the header above the are:
Refresh: at the moment this resets the greyed-out state of the images
Empty: this clear the list, so click this once you have used all the photos you want
Images loaded will persist across all new threads/replies until you click the "empty" icon, so you can add photos to multiple threads.
This feature has currently only been developed and tested on Google Chrome on Windows, so please let me have feedback on other platforms and systems.
It *should* be compatible with iPhone/iPad with iOS 6, the first version when Apple turned file uploads on. On iOS 6 the "Choose/Take Photo" button should give the option to switch to the camera instead of the photo roll.
I hope this is useful and as above, please let me know feedback to improve the features or usability in general or on different devices/systems.
Cheers,

Not something I make a habit of but all isolated from the main battery with the cable to that battery taped up and cable tied out of the way of the +ve terminal. I survived the brush with DIYness, just hope I can put it all together.
