easy job doing oil change on auto box was told oil would cost 14 pound a ltr i got it for 4£ a ltr from millers oils so don,t listen to all those who say you have to get it from dealer or you will be gbrooks

do you have the detail on teh exact oil, part numbers and exact supplier?

will get it you can tell its the same oil it stinks like mad and like water changed mine at 60000 as recomended by my dealer even though sealed for 100000 miles because i do some towing did it on my drive whith 2 car ramps gbrooks

Did you do the double flush or just the empty & fill? Did you also change the auto box floorpan filter at the same time?

no just double flush seems to change gear smoother and at lower revs gbrooks

When i asked Millers oil about the ATF for a D3 they told me theres was not up to the job so be careful had mine changed at GS wakefield £140 ish made a big difference.

hi only changed mine a week ago said this new stuff only just come on market fully synthetic and exceeds all specs you want to smell the stuff its awfull not like the old dextron 3 which some oil reps say you can use but do not use it unless you want a poorly box gbrooks

Hope it goes ok they may have changed the specs but i called in and had a 30 min chat with there tech dept and they had no idea what spec the shell oil was.

like everything when its new nobody shares info shell must of bin making a fortune you have to smell the oil it will knock you out if it don,t smell bad its the wrong stuff didn"t no till i spoke to L/R garage about they it wanted 350 notes to change it, mine was being notchie at changing gear so they printed stuff of on what to do and it was easy gbrooks

How many litres do you need to change the oil in the transmission?

most i got out was about 4.5 ltrs refilled it driven it and did same again think it hoids 9 ltrs but you can never get it all out only about half even after double flush only about 80% is new oil as the torque converter holds a lot gbrooks

I'm sorry but I dont understand the excitement on it being the correct oil BECAUSE it smell bad!!! Experience is a difficult teacher, because she gives the test first and then the lesson afterwards!!!!
