Personally I would keep it OEM, alot of aftermarket brake parts are of Asian origin and although are upto the job, you just cant beat the genuine parts. Once the grooves and holes block with brake dust they will be worse on efficiency than standard parts.
If you wanna improove braking, best way is either D3 V8 calipers, or the Supercharged Brembo
Not wishing to disagree totally with mac but weigh up costs if you are saveing cash over the oem parts and the new brakes come from a reputable source with kite mark or some recognised approval I personally don’t mind fitting aftermarket parts, but I don’t mind taking things apart and cleaning/checking them. As mac said if you want stronger brakes go down the v8 / brembo route
PS mac congrats on mini mac just had our 1 st scan on our second too

Nice one Bp, early Novemember too then
Like I said, if I were to want stronger brakes I would go the V8 Route
UK or branded European disc will be ok, do not touch any cheap Chinese junk, I have seen press reports of discs shattering.

Mmm, been there.
When all four brake disks failed the MOT on my Shogun due to wear I thought I'd save some money by putting cheapies off ebay on it.
Although they performed as well, the fronts were warped within a few months followed closely by the rears within a year. Replaced all four with a more well known make and they were still going strong when the car went after 2 yaers hard use.
The V8 upgrade is on my list of mods too.

Hi All,
Similar to your MOT, we in NSW have an annual inspection.
With my D1, I always use OEM brake parts, and the inspectors often compliment me on the effectiveness of the brakes.
With my D3, the first inspection is at 5 years old. I already have the OEM pads to fit when required.
