Disco 3 non-starter electrical?? |
|
Hi, I've had my disco 3 (MY2005) in my barn for a couple of years due to an electrical fault that dropped the suspension to its bumpers. I have been starting it and warming it up every few months, but left it for about 6 months, the battery has been plugged into a conditioner the whole time.
Tried starting it and got the xmas tree dashboard, removed the instrument panel and got the connector and two chips checked by a local electronics repair firm. But that is clearly not the issue here...see video.

Can anyone point me to the next steps before I break it for parts.
Cheers.[/url]

I'd say you have a problem with the HS CAN bus as the hazards are flashing.
Could there have been any mice or such eating on the wiring loom somewhere?
There is a drawing of the units on the bus and how they are connected somewhere here if you search. Defender 110 SE 2021, Tasman Blue

I found that the plug at the rear passenger side had come loose. I sprayed with contact cleaner, re-connected and most of the warning lights went out.

I would check some of the fixes that you previously have done just to be certain that all bits are where they should be. Check the battery, if its resting state is less than 12.6 volts there is not enough "Oomph" (technical term) in the battery.
