Disco 3 Stickers

Bought the Reflective Disco3.co.uk.

Came in the post yesterday

Dumb question but looks like you peel off one side, stick it on the just pull the backing off and hope the letters stick?
My son reckons there is a special tool needed to rub on to each letter to make it stick otherwise it will just be a mess. He is an Art Student and use to Letra Set - enuf said.

Glosboy,

If its an external sticker just make sure the window is clean. Peal off the 'back' and place on the window. Just rub it with your hand / cloth and slowly peal back the 'front' wrapper Thumbs Up

I've found pealing at a more accute angle to be best Thumbs Up

Yep, the boy's right Thumbs Up

You need a 2lb mallet and a 6" block of wood [type unimportant].
When sticker is applied, cover over with block of wood, give three sharp blows with mallet.
Hey presto the sticker will stick to all these little pieces of glass.
Thumbs Up

btw, only kidding Laughing
pressure with your hand will do.

Yep, its for the outside as have Tints - will try it if dry at the weekend.

On the Farnborough thing - been driving up here from Glos most days for 15 years but the traffic still gets to me, especially when those cyclists get in my way Evil or Very Mad

As you've got a reflective it's for external application. You don't need a special tool for vinyl letters, as long as you take your time you won't get bubbles.

Thoroughly clean the surface you want to stick it to (usually the rear window glass).

Carefully remove the yellow/white waxy paper from the "sticky" side of the letters by peeling away the waxy paper at a fairly sharp angle from one end:

With this done you should have something like this, but with the I my demo one is missing Embarassed :

Line up the D and the K (or M for DISCO4.COM) with the edges and top/bottom - get it level/in the middle of where you want it:

Carefully rub down each letter into place with your fingers - if you're delicate use a small cloth or towel Wink Working along each letter (as you'd write them) will ensure any bubbles are "chased" from under the letters - but the letters are small enough that bubbles aren't normally a problem. Take care around both ends and with the K, the S, the dots and the 3 (or 4) to make sure that they are all stuck down properly:

Once you've rubbed each letter down, give the whole sticker a second firm rub (a cloth is good here) to make sure everything's stuck in place:

Then, working from one end, peel back the translucent "tack" paper steadily at a sharp angle. Watch out for anything that hasn't stuck down (particularly the dots, K, S and 3/4 as above):

Finally - admire your handywork Smile Don't admire my wonky one though (it was windy just now is my excuse):

Is that a D3 sticker on a vehicle from the Dark Side, shouldn't it be a WWW.RRSNORT.CO.UK sticker??? Unless it was a freebie2, then the D3 sticker should be precedeed by "when I grow up I want to join:" Thumbs Up Thumbs Up
