I'd be more worried about the chassis or body taking any shunt in that area as it could have twisted it a little. If its caused that much damage to the festa then under the skin on a disco could be a very different story...

Its all about the safety/passenger cell and not how well the other bits last after an impact to a certain extent unless its a pedestrian Smile
