Guys,
I am sure most of you have seen my video in my member gallery of my Disco 3 fording the river at packington.
If not check it out in the gallery section, I will post another there today too.
Now some of you have asked where it is located.
I know of it allready but a good way to find it is to look at :
www.wetroads.co.uk
Heres the multimap link from the wetroads site:

Have fun and take care if its been raining recently!!
Cheers,

Guys,
Thanks to Martin for posting the other movie in the gallery.
Again sorry its so large, I left the bit in with me reversing up the slope to turn around as its quite fun to see the TR working the wheels etc.
Also you may notice the suspension changing as I go up, for a while the rear stays in the high mode!!!
Once agaain location on the wetroads.co.uk site.
Actual loc here:

Hope to see other people taking up the challenge.
I now have a list of other fords to visit this weekend!!

Works here.....sounds like the triffids are on their way though . FYI I played the video again from the internet temp file directory as the gallery clips it considerably.
For 4x4 newbies, can you remember what setting you used? I can see the suspension is raised but did you use low ratio or any programme settings?
Standard tyres?

Standard Tyres on my HSE.
Did raise the suspension to off road height tho.
TR was set to Mud and Snow, I think.
No problems with traction anywhere.
No drama, just a really smooth ride, almost boring like driving on a road but in deep water.
If you see what I mean!!

Guys,
Been out getting wet again today.
This time is was to great alne in warwickshire.
This one was fun, but I bet it gets real deep and dodgy when the water is in full flow.
I have just sent it to MArtin to allow him to upload the video.
Enjoy!!

Video is up in Nige's gallery now
The ford at Great Alne is one of my favourites, gets very deep after a bit of rain and is very impressive as it's basically a road that drives along the river bank for a fair way....
I'll be back home in a week if you fancy going out for a play with my 90 Nige?
