Dear all
I solved my problem with the seat memory module!!
First there was a problem in the LIN Bus wire between the seat connector and the SJ1045 wiring connection where the LIN bus cables from junktion block, rain sensor, sun roof and driver seat are connected.
So I take a new wire and connect the seat memory LIN bus wire to the LIN bus wire of the rain sensor and cut the old one. The intermittend seat adjustment and the trouble codes are gone.
Mirrors: The mirrors are hard wired from the seat module to each door. So I mesure the wirings and found out a corroded connector at the food room as result of water inside, which comes from the drain hose of the sunroof, which were broken.
Hoping somebody helps this.

LR3 Mirror and seat issue |
|
do you have any pic's of your repair?
My mirror's dont work at all, drivers seat moves intermittently and the sunroof is inoperable... memory module under the driver seat i'm thinking
My radio also will not play any sound but i've narrowed it down to the amp.
The seat never moved at all untill i fixed the sunroof drains and re did the splices on both sides of the vehicle. after the repairs, i have the key fob working, seat moving intermirrently and i also tore down the drivers seat to repair the heating element.
Thx

I had a problem with my D3 mirrors some years ago. Turned out the base of the drivers seat was rubbing on the wiring loom under the seat and had damaged a cable. I took the seat base out (no need to remove the whole seat) and the damage was obvious but easy to repair.

My passenger mirror sometimes seems to have mind of its own, ending up in what I suspect is the reverse position when unlocking the car sometimes.
More annoyingly, the reverse dip function now no longer seems to work since I disconnected and charged the battery

Hi
Sorry no pictures done.
The intermittent function is a signal for a weak connection of the driver seat module to the LIN bus.
To check the LIN Bus wire its not a large issue to find the correct one. Unter the driver seat there is the control unit and some other connectors under the control unit. On my LHD car it is a grey connector. On the pin 22 is a red wire, which is the connection to the LIN Bus. It is connected with the rain sensor the sun roof and the junction box in the dash board.
First I check the signal with a PC oszilloscope and found a voltage around 200mV which is definetly not enough.
I follow the wire and do a parallel wire to the existing LIN bus wire from the driver seat to the rain sensor. Thats it.
In your case its a little bit different. I would suggest to disconnect all components and check the wires resistance and check also a connection to ground or power. Then I would connect one module after the other and check what happens.
By the way, do you have checked your CCF??? Do it first to avoid any programming failure.
Hope it helps a little bit..

Ccf is the car configuration file. There is stored which components are installed in your car.

Will try my luck with and old post.
I have problem with my mirrors too. They don't move at all. Both seats move (HSE model) but not the mirrors.
Got the following error codes with IIDtool:
* B1C13-3A (2F) Driver's up/down mirror motor feedback circuit - Frequency modulation/pulse width modulation failure - incorrect, has too many pulses
* ( at 225430 km )
* B1C14-3A (2F) Driver's left/right mirror motor feedback circuit - Frequency modulation/pulse width modulation failure - incorrect, has too many pulses
* ( at 225430 km )
* B1C15-3A (2F) Passenger's up/down mirror motor feedback circuit - Frequency modulation/pulse width modulation failure - incorrect, has too many pulses
* ( at 225430 km )
* B1C16-3A (2F) Passenger's left/right mirror motor feedback circuit - Frequency modulation/pulse width modulation failure - incorrect, has too many pulses
would appreciate the help. Thanks!

Just to say, pulling and replacing fuse 54 cleared this perfectly for me... Had been through rest of the fuses and was starting to think it was going to be something more messy... Happy days!

Hi Folks,
2006 Discovery 3 HSE.
Same issue.
Last night I got in and pressed memory 1, the seat started moving and then it went to a position we've never used before (backrest almost all the way back, front of the seat up) and then stopped.
Pressing the memory buttons results in a the corresponding 'Seat Memory Position' message on the dash, but the seat doesn't move.
Electric mirrors will also no longer adjust. They will fold in, however they don't dip when I put it into reverse.
Tried a hard reset (disconnect battery, wait 10 mins, connect the terminals, reconnect battery) but no difference.
Tried replacing fuses 33, 48 and 54 - the old fuses looked fine - but no difference. Interestingly now however the passenger seat won't adjust.
I tried looking under the drivers seat, nothing obviously broken - but I couldn't work out how to pull off the front cover to get full access.
Any suggestions hugely appreciated.
