Discovery 3 Metropolis LE 2006

Can anyone confirm if the V5 logbook for a 2006 D3 Metropolis LE should state Metropolis as a friend has purchased 1 and the log book states HSE.

The car is black with full black leather, all the HSE bits and in addition has rear air con, chrome mirror caps, chrome gear selector surround and cup holders, rear Rosen drop down DVD player, looks like factory tints all round and full length roof rails, HK 14 speaker hifi, sat nav, heated electric leather seats

No badges on rear other than Discovery 3 and no rear side chrome strips or bars

The car does not have electric steering column adjust which I thought was on HSE but not sure which years This was introduced.

Is there anyway to tell if this is HSE by logbook or VIN number

Thanks in advance

Sounds like a Metropolis, leckie steering column wasn’t on the D3 until a few years later. ISTR chatter at the time that they were registered as HSE but that was a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. Thumbs Up

United Kingdom 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 Metropolis LE Auto Bonatti GreyDiscovery 3

My V5 says Discovery Metropolis LE A
I think they were HSE with every extra fitted.
Only ever seen 06 and 56 plate ones for sale, black/grey/silver were the main colours

I thought elec column was std on HSE approx 2008 omwards
Metropolis only has manual lumbar support, if yours is elec then it points to a later interior?

The chrome missing on the window rubbers I can understand as the rubbers bubble up, and the chrome bits are silly money, but for the rear chrome to not be there may mean it has been removed, again they fade/lose their chrome and go a sort of dull blotchy grey.

In the 5 years I have had mine I have seen a few advertised as Metropolis when they are quite obviously not.

Can you easily see the radio aeriels in the two rear most side windows? if easy to see aftermarket tint, if you have to look hard to see then its factory tint.

Did I say they had Metropolis on the V5? Embarassed Embarassed

It was a vague memory form a while away, it might have been a later LE model, or I’m just misremembering and brain is going ga-ga. Big Cry Big Cry
