Discovery 3 no start 🤔

Hi All

Again puzzled.
Discovery 3 2.7 tdv6 was driving around and engine started making noise and I pulled over, the car died on me. I tried to start, turning over no start .
Recovery back home.
Next day started really rough and after 15-20 seconds stalled, few times later I decided to check the timing belt as no errors on Gap tool . So I checked everything out and seemed like half tooth was out, I amended that.Same symptoms. I dig out bit more on Gap and fuel pressure is ok all regulator and valve ok but on injectors on turning over reading is 1000 without any changes like stuck on that 1000 figure .
With easy start trying but not fired.
After coming to conclusion I have fuel delivery back to timing .
Took the cover off check the timing all ok . Decided to turn over - surprise surprise started rough but was running for 2-3 min and stalled, did dat 8 times . I put back cover and driving belt on tried turning over not even sign of life . Again no errors.
Than I hook up oscilloscope and did relative compression test and even bigger puzzle.
Accordingly to wave form no compression on cylinder 2-4-6 😭 .Took off Y inserted endoscope camera to inlet valves , they are very clogged with carbon but they moving up and down . I haven’t checked properly each cylinder compression and I haven’t checked the cam and crank sensors.
Would be possible to chains on camshaft failed with this symptoms or something else ?
Any technical advice would be appreciated as loosing my mind over this.
Thank you

Yeah, I was thinking chain in one of the heads too.

I assume your compression test was based on the current draw by the starter but your result (cyls 2,4, & 6) refers to compression loss on both banks!

In any case the chains are at risk of failure on engines with over 150k miles, especially so if proper maintenance schedules have not been observed. You could pop off the oil cap and see if the intake camshaft is rotating on that bank. The other side is a different matter!!

There will be no code to indicate chain failure as the cam sensor signal and HPFP drive are provided by the leading camshaft. (exh)

Its not the end of the world if the chain has broken, or even if the valves/cam caps are damaged but it's no small faff to sort it out!
