Discovery 3 speed limit on single/dual carriageway

Hi,

Just confused a D3 with type M1 on V5C is speed limit with 50/60 on single/dual carriageway? It need to be follow van or car speed? Thanks if someone can tell.

M1 is the classification given to a passenger or dual purpose vehicle on the Type approval.

So it will be 60mph on roads with the signage for national speed limits and 70mph on motorways and dual carriage ways unless a lower speed is signed.

If you have a non car derived van it would fall into the N1 catagorey and you would be restricted to the lower speed limits
