Discovery 3 v Defender 110 in this months LRO magazine

Interesting article in this months LRO. Out of 12 tests, the Deafener only came out on top in two of them.

Interesting read..
 D3 07 SE - still going strong
D3 07 HSE - gone to car heaven
FL1 - gone to Romania
D3 05 HSE - gone to a divorce diet
D1 V8 manual - gone but not forgotten
RR Classic - gone to car heaven

Jeeps, Lexus, X-trails... Too many to name..

What were the tests? Residual value and ease of repair?

Yup, Deafners are all uncomfortable and doing 60mph is like re-entering the atmosphere. However if you experience sudden discomfort when jumping on a racer bike and find that the only way to comfortably wear women’s knickers is to put them on the wrong way round then there’s a good chance you’ve got testicles, these should enable you to drive a Defender without too much trauma

Having said that anyone who buys a 12 year old D3 has got to have a pretty good sized pair....

The result would have been even more in the D3s favour if they had the same boots on pity they didn’t test like for like rather than zeros on the D3 and ATs on the Defender
