Discovery 4 engine

Hi all can anyone confirm as I am told the last discovery 4 Tdi 2016 spec had a revised improved engine ?

They came with a Gen2 lump, with various differences, but mainly different oil pump, associated belt tensioner, smaller water pump, High and Low pressure EGR systems, Adblu etc My D3 Build Thread

Thanks so sounds like a best one to have mines December 2015 but full 2016 spec done 79k full landrover service history and dispite all the scaremongers loving it
Got 31.5 mpg today on a 120 mile trip also

Afraid if its the crank you were thinking of its just the same lottery . mine is a 2016 and had to have a new engine ,they also go in D5s so no improvement.
