Have now got a oil level reading. The sensor was the culprit and required the entire sump taking off to swap
Managed to get it put through on a RAC warranty claim and was done by Joe and the guys at JAS Landrovers. Can sleep at night again now knowing I have oil in the engine Previous Discos

I got my black grill from Powerfuluk, easy swap and a good fit. £63 to give it a 2014 style facelift
I just pulled my side vents and sprayed them myself with a £6 rattle can.

I got the grill and vents from powerful (via somebody on eBay) . Am plannig to spray the original side vents though as the powerful ones don't have any lettering on them Previous Discos

they are a to pull out !!
i found that by getting a plastic trim tool to push down on the clips ( 2 top & 2 bottom) it helped but still requires some force.

I opened the bonnet, fed a long thin screwdriver down the gap and pushed the top locating lugs. Came out easily that way and no skinned knuckles or broken fixings

Currently on a weeks break down in Cornwall and its reminded me of why I always come back to discoveries. Can't think of a better car to take the family away in. Great space, good visibility and surprisingly handy round the tight back streets of Cornish fishing villages

Oops, seems like I forgot to tell you the easy way to get them out.
Thread some narrow webbing over the top and under the central bar.
With both ends in your hand, give an almighty tug ....
... and they just pop out. ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

You probably did. we pulled off the M5 when the traffic started snarling up for some food on our way home from cornwall. Stopped at a place called Olive Mill and then headed back to the M5 Previous Discos
