This lockdown is getting expensive Shocked . Need to step away from the laptop for a while. Last week alone-IID tool, Mantec RAI and shire fabs rock sliders. Tested a 285/50/20 i have at work so now it looks like i need a set of 20" wheels and tyres Rolling Eyes Laughing

I'd have sworn you'd get rubbing (on full lock) with 285/50/20s, I certainly did on my earlier D4. Confused ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

It was very close and I think if the tyre was more aggressive there would be contact. The wheels are on our 100" project and have Toyo tyres which are quite tame Previous Discos

Wheels swapped today (temporarily) to finish the pirellis off with the help of my young assistant. Then a set of 285 50 20 cooper discoverer at3s ready for when the scorpions are worn out, the wheels will then be getting refurbed gloss black 8) ready for winter

Picked wheels up today after being refurbed in gloss black. New 285 50 20 cooper AT3s fitted and no rubbing 8)

After removing my car from sale a couple of weeks ago i decided to do a bit of a brake upgrade. Wasnt straightforward because the brembos wouldn't fit with the style 511 wheels so I had to temporarily fit some silver sport 20s until today when I got new tyres fitted to my 5 spokes. Now running toyo 285 50 20s so will see how they compare to the coopers Thumbs Up

This car has now been sold to a good friend of mine. Will miss it but needs must. Unfortunately the carpark at my wife's work (Sheffield children's hospital) has a height restriction which is far too close for comfort for a lifted D4 so it has been replaced with a Range Rover vogue se Thumbs Up
