My Discovery 4 order

I am awaiting delivery of my Disco 4, The dealer said delivery is around 26th March for delivery but the dealer says he is very confident that the car will arrive sooner.

I wanted to ask is there any way of finding out if the car is about to go into build stage

Do dealers have visibility at what stage the car is at before delivery

I am a liitle suspicious that the delear keeps saying delivery date 26th March but thats only verbally said and not on the order form

I think the dealer has access to when it is being built etc as my dealer kept me fully informed as to what stage it was at, he told me that he was logging onto Land Rover's system and could see all the progress of the order. Mine arrived about 4 weeks early

i have just had a phone call from the dealer and he says my car has left factory (Production Line) and is on its way to the Tansport company and the car will be at the dealer between 7 and 10 days.
Dealer reckons I will have my car before Easter Holidays.

I am too impatient... I want it now!!!

When did you place your order? All i've had is a vague "it should be built in April some time" and "delivery about 25 May"...

I ordered 28 Jan.

I ordered my car at the dealer on 5th Jan 2013. I don't when the dealer actually put the order with Land Rover.

I wonder if they already had a slot? I was three weeks after you but the delivery is expected to be 8 weeks later. When did you get an firm(ish) delivery date?

First when I ordered it he said it should arrive by 1st March 2013 but later on in late Jan changed it to late March because he said I changed the electrics on the tow bar. I think the delivery was always 26th March but the dealer spoofs you to place the order well know it will be end of March.

Well I just have to wait a little longer

Car is at the dealer was scheduled to pick it up tomorrow being Sunday but when into LR Dealer this morning and asked them to install Trackstar tracker at a cost of Â£800 including 3 year subscription because I was having so much problem getting the right insurance.

I have goen for the Landrover Insurance it had far more superior cover included in the price.

I had a quick chance to look at my car and the car looks great but will be picking it up on Wednesday now.

Will stick some pictures when i get it home.
