added a cooler box from a range rover. very simple to do and another option ticked off.

added the premium amp and 3 extra speakers.

sorry don't have any pictures of this as quite abit of work and could only do it in between customer jobs.

items needed:
2x d pillars with speakers
1x centre speaker
premium amp

the job itself does require the removal of quite a few interior trims but it's essentially installing the new amp, running the wires to the D pillar speakers and then running a wire to the drivers footwell.

here the connector for the centre speaker is already in place.

pin the speaker connector in the amp using a wiring diagram (can provide this to anyone who is planning this).

and finally code the headunit to logic 7 premium using IID or similar.

the result:

being a proper audiophile I can confirm this upgrade is worth it. First of all the more powerful amp seems to make the other speakers sound better, the surrounds are subtle but defo there. the centre speaker is were the magic happens. the front sound stage is transformed with the addition of this small speaker.

the subwoofer also hits harder with the premium amp. I'd also like to add that I soundproofed the tailgate and packed the lower gate with acoustic foam, this resulted in a much tighter bass response.
