Looking back at this, it’s not without precedent. When Fiat disposed of their elderly 124 production line, it was shipped off behind the then iron curtain and later, even Austin Rover had an unsuccessful attempt to ship the old Maestro line out to Bulgaria.

Perhaps disposing of the old D5 production line into Eastern Europe makes some kind of historical sense Whistle Laughing

They’re not moving a line out there, the line is staying in Solihull to build FFRR, RRS, Velar and F-Pace.

They’re building a new line in a new plant.
