No the D3 with DVD.
It is the unfortunate system where the NAV has to be updated at LR to a very High cost. And furthermore they have no recent updated versions available. It was just discontinuedDiscovery 4, MY2011, TDV6 Auto

Mine is 2014 D4 and my brothers (now sold) was 2010 D4 and there are options for all.A mod a week until I have nothing to improve or add.

So that should be the 7" Denso unit.
After 2012 (mine) They were Bosch units. Seems the changeover was late 2011 sometime....so you must know if its denso or Bosch.
If you contact them with your vin number or a screen shot of your unit they will be able to tell you.
This link is for the denso unit and there is an email address at the bottom where they will identify yours for you.

I'm delighted with this. I did a test fit to make sure all the features were working as intended. The trickiest bit was figuring out which input cable to the screen needed disconnecting. I took the OP's suggestion and routed the cables into the lower glove box.
Sound is crystal clear via the Auxiliary input - I wonder if it's possible to rename the input with an IID to "CarPlay" or something more OEM. Similarly, it'd be nice to rename the button on the home screen from "Navigation". A minor quibble!
I thought I had a dud unit initially, after 2 minutes, the LR system was defaulting back to the home screen - there was a time out setting that needed turning off.
10/10 for wireless CarPlay at this price point!

Sorry for bumping an older thread, I've just got a used Disco 4 which I'm keen to get running with Android Auto.
@GLR, I messaged the seller you used on AliExpress and there didn't seem to be a reply. Do your steering wheel buttons work? How about the bluetooth for calling - do you use the new unit or the original LR equipment?
@Glassjaw, which system did you use? Have you got a link?

Steering buttons don't work unfortunately.
The new unit becomes the bluetooth phone system and you have to 'forget' the original Disco bluetooth on your phone.
I've had mine fitted for a few months now and I can't decide whether I'm going to remove it and revert back to LR system for music & hands free phone and just using my phone for navigation.
I have an issue whereby every now and then it won't connect. Sometimes, turning off the ignition and locking/unlocking the doors fixes this, other times it doesn't. Really annoying when you're off on a long journey and want phone, nav and music.
It's almost great. I'd give it 7/10. When it works, it's fabulous. When it doesn't, it makes me very cross!
Another annoying thing is if I accidentally hit the 'Mode' switch on the steering wheel, I have to go into the LR labyrinthine menus to try and get it back to aux. Whoever did the usability study on the D4 infotainment system, needs a stern talking to. It's a awful design!Discovery 4 HSE - Aintree Green

That's a bit disappointing. Some retailers claim some of them work but they are obviously selling in volume so don't know specific vehicles. I'll continue the research!
