DIY Light bar??
Im going to be manufacturing a DIY light bar. having all the fabrication equipment required, i figure the hardest part about this job will be profiling the mounts to fit the A-pillars contours. once that tricky bit is out the way, its just simple pipe bending and welding.
before i go down the R&D route, i thought id ask the question: Has anyone done this before? and if so, any pointers?

I've seen them fitted to a roof bar, but if you decide to make it yourself some pics would be interesting as you go!yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

I second that. Its something I like the idea of but don't want it to look like a Mad Max addition! if you could make it really streamline and sitting neatly just above the window screen I think you could sell a few

That's a fair point... When I fitted extended roof rails to the D3 the noise of just that was very noticeable..

yes i see your point. for me however, i do not own a discovery with wind noise in mind. i barley take her above 60mph. it's pure propose will be for off road function. thats said, and with that in mind, what i might consider is, making the bar quick release.Landrover discovery 3, 2005, TDV6, manual, 5 seats

Quick release would be much better not only from a wind noise point of view but also security
