Keysafe: £9.29 Amazon - https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0BCQ3NJT9/

Dummy OBD (optional) £15.00 : https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/323717466051?

Padlock : you've probably got one in your shed Wink

--------------------

1 - Unscrew combination mechanism and remove (very easy).

2 - Break out the bars with pliers (also easy) which were between the combination dials to make a single large open hole on the door.

3 - Drill 16mm hole in side of box and make it an open slot with hacksaw.

4 - Drill suitable hole in top for padlock (8mm)

5 - Tidy edges with file.

6 - Unclip OBD put in the box, (add dummy cable if using one) - lock and tuck inside dash.

Job done.

30 minutes max.

dummy extension wire is optional, if you prefer you can simply unclip and lock your OBD inside.

Not the prettiest solution, but very cheap and another deterrent / layer of faff for any potential thief to get through. You could leave the combination mechanism but space is very tight and it's not particularly strong. Padlock seemed a better option.
