I did the twin brake light mod this afternoon
I had an old light I removed the bulb contacts from
And also the white wire from the rest of spare light loom
Then soldered the contacts and heat shrinked
Then stripped a section of loom on existing light ,intertwined the wires, soldered then taped the join
Job done, but havn’t taken an after pic yet but it works and was easy job
All in took about 40 mins

I got stuck! After dropping off the caravan to storage there was a patch of wood chippings that once was a big pile of it until they flattened it. It was in my line of travel so I drove over it, expecting it to be just a layer of chippings on top of hard mud: I therefore just drove slowly and in road height. The Disco sank....
Engaging raised height and mud/ruts, I sat with all wheels spinning... My wife got out and said "that's going nowhere!"
Fortunately there was a handy tree, and the G4 has a winch! My son said it was totally embarrassing.

Hi mate
Also been looking at that mod, wondering if u can buy the bulb holders as I’ve not got any copper laying around
Wonder if anyone has fitted lights in place of the bumper reflectors instead of doing the twin brake light mod
Alas don’t know what the case is regarding mot regs
Hope ur well and the pups are keeping u busy
