Fitted my refurbished rock sliders - Uncle Ray's from about ten years ago!
All holes tapped, sills cleaned and sprayed with Dynax rust-proofing (underneath has just been wax oiled). Used new zinc-plated screws and plenty of copper-slip.
When these were blasted there were some quite deep pits underneath where the metal had corroded - better not to leave them so long once the coating starts to flake. They've been done with etch-primer under the new coating so hopefully good for a few years!

Still on the original number plate bulbs. Unlike the gearbox, fuel pumps, alternator, compressor, prop shaft, air springs….

Picked the Disco up from the body shop today. A bit of respray, fitted new door sills and removed quite a bit of corrosion from the rear wheel arches.
£3k I won't see again

Big thanks to DM in Dundee, gearbox flush carried out first thing this morning, nice long drive home afterwards, nice smooth gear changes.
