There's a relatively simple solution to this - change the law so that any vehicle not 100% on the public highway or public land is not covered by insurance....
Be careful what you wish for there. I can well imagine that there, literally, wouldn't be enough parking spaces for cars on the road currently. Many modern estates are 'designed' for half-on pavement parking as roads not wide enough for cars opposite each other, etc. Even on our fairly 'roomy' road if anyone parked 'all four wheels' on road there quickly wouldn't be enough space for probably the owners cars let alone any deliveries, visitors, etc.
Think I read though that only London has specific 'rights' for two wheels on kerb parking? We have some specific marked half on/half off areas in 'old town' area and some 'all on pavement' bays in a few areas
Shame they didn't have a proper hunt and give them a head start before seeing the hounds on them.
I own a property in Bath close to a canal and very nice pub. It's a real beautiful location and very popular. However, I get sick of 'entitled' drivers who keep parking on my land and giving ME
grief for asking them to leave!
